From Uncertainty to Purpose


In May 2020, during one of the most uncertain times in the world, Lady Bennett 18 was born.


At the time, I had recently been laid off from a temporary position where I was expected to be hired on permanently. The hiring process had suddenly stopped, and like many people during that season, life changed overnight. I was home with my newborn child, adjusting to a completely different routine, and trying to figure out what came next.


Even though there was uncertainty, there was also peace in slowing down and spending time with family. During that time, I kept hearing people talk about online reselling platforms like Poshmark. The first time I looked into it, I brushed it off. The second time, something about it stayed with me. I thought, “Maybe I should just try it.”


So I did.


I started with items I already had at home and slowly began sourcing affordable pieces from stores that carried stylish finds at accessible prices. At first, I wasn’t treating it like a business at all. I didn’t track anything because I honestly didn’t know if it would work. I simply wanted to test the waters and see what happened.


But then something unexpected happened.


The sales started coming in consistently.


One after another, pieces were selling faster than I imagined. I remember selling handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, sunglasses, and unique statement pieces that people genuinely loved. Some customers purchased items at full price without hesitation, and that’s when I realized there was something special here.


I wasn’t just selling products.


I was curating pieces that made people feel confident, stylish, and seen.


As stores reopened, I became even more intentional about finding quality items that felt unique and expressive. Whether it was a bold handbag, statement sunglasses, jewelry, or fashion accessories, I wanted every piece to feel special. I’ve always believed style is personal. Everyone expresses themselves differently, and I love helping people discover pieces that elevate their natural beauty and individual style.


That passion eventually became Lady Bennett 18.


What started as a simple experiment grew into a business built on heart, creativity, and connection.


One of the most important parts of Lady Bennett 18 has always been the customer experience. After years of working in customer service, I knew I wanted people to feel welcomed — not like just another order number. I wanted every package to feel thoughtful and meaningful from the moment it arrived.


Every item is personally handpicked, photographed, packaged, and shipped by me. I love creating an experience that feels beautiful from beginning to end — from carefully wrapping pieces to adding personal touches that make customers feel appreciated.


To me, fashion and accessories are more than products.
